Eastfield Community Christmas Fayre
18th November 2023

Chatty Crafters participated in the annual Christmas fayre which proved to be a great success.

This year the Eastfield Community Christmas Fayre was a massive success and had a spectacular turn out from eleven o’clock onwards right up to the last minute at three. The place was buzzing with stalls, Christmas shoppers, children’s dancing groups with applauding parents and spectators and a visit to Santa’s Grotto. It was cold on the outside, but a warm community atmosphere was to be found on the inside. This year there was something on sale for everyone of all ages; from crafts, jams and sweets, the opportunity to adopt a cuddly bear, to toys, books, crayons, decorations and wines, baby knitting, blankets and sewing, to jewellery and many personal gifts. Comments from the visitors passing through said that the fayre was superb, and they were delighted to see the centre on the local radar where it should be, on the map as the community’s centre.

Well done, Eastfield Community Centre!

Celebrating "Robert Burns" at Chatty Crafters: Tuesday 31-01-23​

Comments: What a fantastic afternoon with our local group Chatty Crafters. They hosted The Best Of Scotland event with everyone having a part to play. ASDA TORYGLEN Supported with all the ingredients to make soup with crusty rolls not forgetting Tunnocks Tea Cakes and caramel wafers. A traditional Clootie Dumpling and hand made Shortbread...to decorate the hall there was tartan table runners and bunting followed by traditional Scottish songs...true Community partnership working..this group have been recognised by local MSP Clair Haughey for the amazing work bringing their community together every Tuesday Afternoon.
